*IMPORTANT:
The wind charts above represents the safe allowable wind speed that each
Pacific heavy duty drop-shade, when properly installed, is capable of withstanding providing that the mounting surface and structure are
strong enough to support the shade which is being installed.
The data above are based on the general procedure for determining the
design winds on structures as indicated in ASCE 7-88, Minimum Design Loads for Buildings
and Other Structures. This document allows for a momentary gust of a particular amount
over and above the steady design wind velocity. This should NOT be interpreted to mean
that the above product is to be used in an environment where fastest-mile velocities are
greater than the speeds listed in the chart above. This chart should NOT be used to
countermand any state or local code provisions. Unusual site conditions or unusual
building shapes resulting in extraordinary pressures around corners and/or edges should
not have this chart data applied.
Warning: This chart
is for Pacific's Heavy Duty Patio Shades. Certified wind loads for Wind & Storm Package are not available. |
